For Gerhard, making is an act of living. Sometimes that creative act of Gerhard’s takes the form of playing, service to another, and/or observation of his life.

Gerhard’s play takes the forms of: imagined visual and/or written stories (sometimes borrowed and altered from history or current experience); formal experimentation (especially with new media, digital media, traditional drawing and printmaking); poetry, text integrated artworks, and other mixed media work.
